Gernot Gleiss works as a photographer, focusing on documentaries, advertising and portrait photography. Numerous foreign visits have taken him to (for example) Cochin in India, where in 2009 he made a documentary about the local fishers. In 2011, together with the author Galsan Tschinag, he published an illustrated book about the life of the nomads of Western Mongolia. His work has been published in a wide variety of national and international magazines, and has been shown at exhibitions at home and abroad. Gernot Gleiss lives and works in Klagenfurt.
