Sandi Červek was born in 1960 in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. He began studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and obtained his diploma in 1985 while studying with Gustav Gnamuš. After receiving a grant from the Slovenian Ministry of Culture and the Soros Open Society Institute, he went to New York in 1998 to continue his training. The artist's works are displayed at solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. Sandi Červek lives and works in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
