Lino Fiorito, Ohne Titel [Untitled], 2012
, watercolour on paper, 25 x 35 cm
Kollitsch Collection
In his watercolours, Lino Fiorito encapsulates flashes of inspiration using delicate gestures to create poetical and transparent snapshots on the picture surface. During the creative process, they develop into narrative mental images as part of the abstract language of design, complete with inherent experiences and emotions. On closer inspection, the deeper meaning of these mental images is unveiled.

Lino Fiorito, Alias Alien, 2015
, Video 28 minutes, music by Toshiya Tsunoda \ Edition 1/3
Courtesy of Thomas Rehbein Gallery, Cologne
The filmAlias Alienis derived from a particularly challenging project for the artist because the moving image is composed of a sequence of his own watercolours. In the flowing visual landscape of changing forms and colours, the observer can drift among the surreal world of paintings and focus on a strive to identify the significance of the works, broken down through the growing dynamism of the music.
