Andy Holtin completed his art studies in 1998, with drawing as his special subject, gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude at Freed-Hardeman University, Tennessee, USA. He then studied Sculpture and Extended Media at Virginia Commonwealth University, gaining his M.F.A. in 2002. From 2004 to 2008 he was Assistant Professor and Section Coordinator for Sculpture at the University of North Texas, Denton, TX. Since 2008 Andy Holtin has been teaching as Associate Professor for Sculpture at the American University in Washington, DC. His work has been on show since 2002 in numerous individual and shared exhibitions at home and abroad.
