ERNST GRADISCHNIG was born in Wiendorf in Carinthia in 1949. He studied at the École ABC in Paris from 1972 to 1974. He then began training in printed graphics in Salzburg under Professor Herbert Breiter and in 1978, set up his own lithography workshop in Klagenfurt. This was followed in 1989 by a trip abroad to the Stadtatelier von Klagenfurt in Paris. Since 1979, he has undertaken numerous study trips around the world including to Russia and various African countries. His works have been presented at exhibitions in Austria and abroad since 1973 and can also be found in collections such as the Albertina Vienna and Essl Collection. Ernst Gradischnig is a member of the Carinthian and Salzburg Art Association and lives and works as a freelance artist in Moosburg, Carinthia.
