Robert Schad

ROBERT SCHAD was born in Ravensburg in 1953. From 1974 to 1980, he studied with Albrecht von Hancke and Wilhelm Loth at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. After being awarded a DAAD grant in 1980, he continued his training at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes in Porto for one year. He later received more grants and awards, such as the Grand Prix of the II. International Biennial for Sculptural Art in Óbidos, Portugal, in 1989. From 1989 to 1990 he was a guest professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, where he taught sculpting. Robert Schad lives and works in Chamosinhos (P) and Larians (F), where he established his own sculpture park in 2003.
