Bernadette Huber works with a range of different media. In her photography performance “HUBERnadette. The model paints.”, she abandons the classic empty canvas and assumes the role of a lingerie model. Her body becomes a merciless “image” carrier, a medium and advertising message for her own persona, HuberNADETTE. She paints the canvas, paints herself, becomes an artistic object and subject at the same time. The colour accentuates, the brush touches the lingerie and the body. In the continuation of her series “Art that touches”, the artist enters her own work, re-interprets herself and negotiates concepts such as physicality, eroticism, bodily limits and painting.
