Paul Spendier was born in Ulrichsberg, Carinthia, in 1997. From 2016 until 2018, he studied photography with Prof. Gabriele Rothemann at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, followed by an Arts and Media course with Prof. Akihiro Kubota at the Tama Art University in Tokyo from 2019 until 2020. Since 2020, he has been studying transmedia art at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Paul Spendier received a scholarship from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, was one of the winners of the short-film competition “20 Seconds for Art” organised by INFOSCREEN & KÖR in 2019, and was awarded the Bank Austria Kunstpreis Kärnten in 2020. He lives and works in Vienna.
