OSCITANT ENTERPRISES -Oscigen Bugmaker™

OSCITANT ENTERPRISES (OE)ist eine von Jon Shelton entwickelte fiktive Firma, die unter anderem ein fortlaufendes Forschungsprogramm zur Entwicklung von Nanorobotern, den sogenannten OSCIGEN Bugmakers, unterhält. Diese Serie hochkomplexer kleinstformatiger und meist fliegender Roboter-Prototypen in Insektenform ist für die Erfüllung von zahlreichen Aufgaben in zivilen und militärischen Bereichen einsetzbar. Sie können ferngesteuert oder vollständig autonom betrieben werden sowie einzeln, in Gruppen oder in Schwärmen agieren. Die Bugmaker-Serie stellt mit ihren möglichen Anwendungsgebieten ihre Fiktion nahe an die Realität der gegenwärtigen realen Forschungsgebiete und ihrer denkbar gefährlichen Szenarien.

AGPROD/nanorobotic pollinator.

DEFMIL/video equipped nanorobotic laser target designator and marker [LTDM].

In its AGPROD configuration the BM07–01 can be programmed to recognize any number of target flowers for pollination. Using GPS mapping for navigation, and advanced software for infrared pattern recognition as well as the translation of olfactory information into spectral color, the very highest degree of target pollination efficiency is guaranteed.

In its DEFMIL configuration the unit can be programmed to operate autonomously, or be remotely flown into and around virtually any space. Once in place the unit then acts as an LTDM for laser missile guidance. It can also be equipped with facial recognition lock on targeting [FRLT] software, for subject specific extra judicial terminations [EJT]. Available with geographic intelligence [GEOINT]

INLAB / nanorobotic forest management device.

DEFMIL / nanorobotic deforestation, mapping and surveillance device.

The INLABBM07–08is designed for the monitoring and maintenance of local forest populations. This unit has a GPS supported mapping interface which allows it to record and navigate terrain in real time.

Through the production and delivery of blight inducing agents DEFMIL units can be used effectively in small numbers to produce devastating longterm deforestation in very short order. This version comes equipped with high resolution 3D geographic intelligence [GEOINT] mapping, and live surveillance capability.

INLAB/nanorobotic text scanning, editing, translating, storing and printing device.
INTGAT/nanorobotic signals intelligence [SIGINT] and imagery intelligence [IMINT] remote SCANBOT.

The INLABBM07–11can be used as a semi autonomous office unit for work having to do with text copying and editing.

The INTGAT version is designed for the remote controlled, covert procurement of classified documents, and is outfitted with audio and video live streaming and recording capability. The unit can also be operated on a secure network, or completely off-line with an onsite human intelligence [HUMINT] attendant.

The INLABBM07–18is designed for home and office work involving dictation, and can remote interface with computers, smart phones, and tablets.

The DEFMIL / INTGAT version is designed for remote SIGINT use and employs an array of capabilities to undetectably glean actionable information with impunity. The device can transmit audio and video in real time, and outfitted with Oscigen's patented "Tarnkappe" nano surface camouflage exoskeleton, it can get very close to targets for the spot on GPS marking of EJT candidates.

DEFMIL/Nanorobotisches Audio-/Videoaufnahmegerät [SIGINT] mit Fähigkeiten zur GPS Zielmarkierung und -bezeichnung [GPSTDM].

Der INLAB BM07-18 ist für den Aufgabenbereich am Büro- und Heimarbeitsplatz entwickelt worden, verfügt über eine Diktierfunktion und bietet eine Schnittstelle zwischen Computer, Smartphones und Tablets. In den weiteren Versionen DEFMIL und INTGAT verfügt das Gerät über eine Vielzahl an Möglichkeiten, Informationen ausfindig zu machen. Es kann Audio- und Videoaufnahmen in Echtzeit übertragen und verfügt über eine vonOscigenpatentierte „Tarnkappe“, mit der es sich noch näher an seine Zielobjekte annähern kann.

Outfitted with Oscigen's patented "Tarnkappe" nano surface camouflage exoskeleton, it can get very close to targets for the spot on GPS marking of EJT candidates. The antlers, which function as staple removers in the INLAB version, are used to latch onto targets and attendants in the DEFMIL / INTGAT configuration, providing the ultimate in stealth lethality.

In the portrayal of the shell and core, inside and outside, visible and invisible, the message of the menacing mask, indicative of current global political events, is not clearly attributable and the statement about the further course of the project is uncertain. Under the meaningful gaze of three men, Jon Sheton quotes two portraits of rulers by Holbein the Younger and takes the portrait of a policeman in the fight against terror from a current news magazine. This creates an additional contrasting level and the artist draws parallels in the dissemination of fear and terror between the past and present.

Jon Shelton depicts a woman with a weapon and balaclava ready to fight and defend herself as a social statement and therefore transports the traditional gender role far beyond the social rulebook. The striking allusions to violence and terror in conjunction with female attributes evoke associations with global politics and conjure up an image which shows something to be seen yet without showing everything – everything remains open and ambiguous.
