Mevlana Lipp’s works evoke memories of an unconscious indwelling knowledge of the genesis and origin of all life. Forming a black background, his murals show seemingly familiar figurative elements and floral shapes, cut out by the artist from panels of wood and arranged on velvet, emerging in glowing colours. They become sensuous places of yearning with their own deeply hidden memories, places through which Mevlana Lipp draws attention to paradise and original creation.
