Gernot Gleiss, Günther Kollitsch, 2017
, from the photo project ‘anSCHAUungen’, Fine art print 140 x 93 cm
Kollitsch Collection
As part of the ‘anSCHAUungen’ photo project, Gernot Gleiss presents portraits of people who have a particular connection to his home town of Klagenfurt. Through the effective use of style elements, accessories and tricky light and shade design, the portrait series by Gernot Gleiss specifically emphasises the individual personalities of the individuals depicted and highlights characteristic parts of their being which are reflected in the uniqueness of the moment and depict people as fascinating characters, aside from their notoriety. The portraits seem to be shrouded in mystery and raise the question as to the story behind the outward depiction.

The portrait was acquired as an expression of appreciation for Brandy Brandstätter who has successfully designed the entire advertising range for the Kollitsch group for over two decades and whose unmistakeable style has had a significant influence on the corporate identity of the company.
