Valentin Oman’s artistic approach is driven by the big questions relating to the human existence, transience and a longing for answers. His works are the result of elaborate processes of creation, shaped by his characteristic superimposition and overlapping of various levels and layers of painting and graphical printing techniques. The transcendental diversification of his predominant motifs of the human figure or landscapes contains fragmentary traces of immanence which reflect what was, is, will be and remains.
