Hans Bischoffshausen is one of the most significant representatives of the Austrian Avantgarde. His creations are characterised by an intensive approach to structure, surfaces and the colour white. His monochrome structural research is partly expressed in cut or perforated relief-like image surfaces defined by a radical reduction which seems to strive for dissolution right to the threshold of visibility.
